We’re so happy you loved your experience and can’t wait to have you back for your next service appointment.
Response from John the Plumber:
We are so glad to hear that you had a good experience.
They ripped out and destroyed my dishwasher looking for a leak that was not behind the dishwasher.
The plumbing is repaired. We h boy I have hot water without leaking into the floor. But I’ve lost a dishwasher. it was older, but it still worked fine. I told them they couldn’t get it out. They ripped out even though when their hole wasn’t even behind it. There’s dust in mess and holes everywhere that I have to repair. My cabinet was chipped piece left on the floor I found so I can glue it back on myself. Part of the cabinet was damaged. Not sure how that’s gonna get fixed. I understand that they’re not supposed to repair, but they shouldn’t be making more holes in necessary. The initial person that came out made me feel like once they got started. It was like no way of not using them because I would have to pay anyway the girl on phone said that I had no charge for them to come out, the experience was OK as far as the service of the people Kyle and Michael were fantastic, personable and polite. The supervisor guys more as a matter fact which is OK you’re not here for your personality. They gave me a break on the price for the Plumbing job but they weigh overcharged me on the finding of the leak. Mostly detection companies charge $450 not 1000 since I told him exactly where it was. I guess that’s how people get treated when they’re older single women and don’t have any recourse.
Although the job at hand was completed, the price does not reflect how the job was left. I was told in order to change my valve box, the plummer would need to cut through the wall and it would leave a hole. I didn’t expect such a huge hole. I was quoted less from another company but went with this one people of the time convenience in my schedule.
Jake was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He is definitely and asset to your company!
Response from John the Plumber:
Thank you so much for your 5-star review! We will share this with the team to let them know to keep up the amazing work.
The service and the technician were excellent. I was very pleased with John the Plumber experience. I have no idea price wise, I am assuming fair in regards to pricing of the day.
The technician that came to my home regarding my plumbing issues was respectful and courteous. He waited while I went to get them money and was nothing but kind. I would highly recommend him.
I was a bit shocked at the cost but Adam was a pleasure to have here. He did a great job and found an issue I didn’t even know I had. He is surely an asset to the company.
We met with the homeowner regarding the leaking kitchen drain line. During inspection, it was noted that the floor in the kitchen area had previously been opened. The homeowner is requesting a repair of the drain line and the waste arm in the wall. The scope of work is based on the laundry line being in decent condition to allow for a proper connection. No other recommendations were made during this visit.
Upon arrival the homeowner showed me the old water heater that was leaking from the bottom element. I provided him with an estimate to replace the old water heater with a new 38 gallon 4500 watt rheem water heater. The homeowner agreed to move forward. After installing the new water heater, and wiring it up. I turned the water back on and there were no leaks. Also after wiring it up and turned the power back on the water heater was getting hot.
Upon arrival I was shown to a kitchen faucet and garbage disposal that needed replacing. An estimate to install a customer supplied garbage disposal and a JTP supplied kitchen faucet was agreed on. After the installs were complete I tested for proper function and ensured they were leak free.
Customer call John the plumber out today to get an estimate on replacing his water heater. Customer is being forced to replace the water heater because insurance is making him do so because of the age of the unit. The insurance company is requiring for the customer to get a licensed company to perform the work and customer has until November to replace water heater. Technician will provide the customer with the few options to resolve all of his issues. Customer is going to get a few more estimates and will contact us before November if he decides to move forward with any work.
The customer contacted us to request an estimate for replacing their existing water heater, due to visible signs of rust. Upon arrival, we inspected the current unit, a Bradford White 30-gallon tank-style water heater, and observed multiple areas of corrosion and rust, particularly around the base. These conditions indicate the unit is nearing the end of its service life and poses a risk of future leakage or failure. Based on the overall condition of the heater, we recommended full replacement. Tankless Upgrade Discussion: During the visit, the customer expressed interest in possibly upgrading to an electric tankless water heater for improved efficiency and space savings. We discussed the benefits of tankless systems, including: Endless hot water on demand Lower long-term energy use Compact, wall-mounted design We also explained the technical requirements for installing an electric tankless unit, particularly the need for: Adequate amperage in the electrical panel Proper breaker si
Upon entry to the property, customer stated that they have a leak coming from the meter side and they have a slab leak. I informed the customer due to the age and condition of the existing gait valve that I could not properly pressure test the water system in order to get an accurate reading and this gate valve must be changed out to a new ball valve prior to pressure drop test. I informed customer that I will give a free pressure drop test after I change this valve to locate if the leak is coming from the meter side or the house side. customer did not want to move forward at this time. I did not have access to the house in order to take a picture of the water heater
We arrived at the home of Rene, who is a team member from our office, to diagnose a reported backup. We accessed the cleanout located on the side of the home and ran our cable. The line was blocked, indicating a mainline stoppage. We then ran the sewer inspection camera through the line and confirmed the issue was due to heavy root intrusion located past an offset in the city’s section of the line. We attempted to run the root chopper to clear the blockage, but due to the offset, we could not get the machine to pass through into the city’s portion of the pipe. We contacted the City of North Lauderdale, and they stated they would send a crew out to inspect the issue. No further clearing was attempted, as the blockage is within city responsibility. ⸻ • Ran K60 through the main cleanout in attempt to clear the line • Ran sewer camera to confirm the cause of the stoppage
Upon arrival, customer had an annual membership visit. Upon inspection we did notice a few things that needed to be updated/ corrected. In the bathroom the emergency stop to toilet as well as supply line will need to be updated. The supply line had a plastic connection and we suggested to change to a stainless steel connection with new supply valve. Underneath lavatory sink both emergency stops were old style multi turn valves that will need to be updated to a 1/4 turn shut off. The drain was an accordion drain at an incorrect application. We suggested to update and correct offset. In the kitchen there are 4 emergency shut offs with a tap valve on the cold side. We recommend to remove tap valve due to gasket failing in the near future, and to replace 4 emergency stops with two dual emergency shut offs with a 1/4 turn shut off. Estimates provided for repairs Thank you for using JohnThe Plumber -Shane
This estimate is for a Rheem 50 gal medium water heater with electrical disconnect switch. On arrival property manager reached out to us to collect an estimate for a water heater replacement. We established what was needed as well as provided permit due to certain code violations. After following us up with customer the day after since tenant was only there at the time, he approved estimate in which as of today we have fulfilled scope of work and installation with up to code compliant connections. Final payment and signatures will be collected by John the Plumber service reps tomorrow through the phone.
Job Site Review – Shower Valve & Main Shutoff Assessment Technician Notes: During diagnostic on site, confirmed the shower valve was inoperable — water could not be shut off via the existing valve due to advanced deterioration and non-identifiable cartridge (likely discontinued model). Based on inspection and current code requirements, valve replacement is necessary. Advised full removal and installation of a Moen pressure-balanced shower valve, complete with a stainless steel repair plate to ensure proper finish and function. While inspecting the home’s water supply system, I observed the existing main shutoff valve is a gate valve, which presents a high risk of failure due to internal stem corrosion and seizure. Per best practices and modern plumbing standards, I recommended upgrading to a full-port 1/4-turn brass ball valve for reliable and long-term shutoff control. Estimate issued includes: Removal of existing shower valve and install of new Moen unit Repair plate to ensure se
Owner-tenant-property managers scenario Property manager called regarding a water heater replacement, when we arrived we evaluated heater and the surroundings of heater and while doing so the tenant disclosed that the city is strictly enforcing customer to address code violations. The scope of work includes a new 50 gallon 4500 watt Rheem water heater in pan with electrical disconnect switch and permit. Property manager was contacted and needs to run estimates by actual landlord who is overseas and will get back to us tomorrow morning. Will follow up.
This job is for Renee in the office we provided and installed two wolverine brass Quarter turn hose bibs.
Renee had issues with her sewer system. Jason and I accessed roof and made our way to the back bathroom vent. We ran 65 ft of camera. Drain had no obstructions. There was only one belly of water about 2 feet long where the clean out is. We ran multiple flush test from both fixtures and water was flowing efficiently. There was no need for snaking the line. Drain flowing efficiently
Upon arrival, customer showed us where the heater was in her storage closet outside we ran test on elements and thermostats top upper element and upper thermostat are shot. Will you reset it thermostat then it re-chirped so customer is aware that we will need to reschedule and come back out with the right material to restore her with hot water. Customer is aware.
